The Township of St. Clair is currently seeking candidates to fill Seasonal and summer staff positions at the Parks, Golf Course and Campgrounds as follows:
SEASONAL POSITIONS
Seasonal Maintenance Campgrounds and Sportsfields
Principal responsibilities for this position are to prepare grounds and buildings of Campgrounds and Parks for guest use. Duties include grass cutting, planting and maintaining flower beds, grounds maintenance, repair and upkeep of park and campground buildings with the assistance of Township staff or contractors, cleaning washrooms and buildings, minor electrical or plumbing repairs, minor park equipment maintenance, ensure that patrons follow all campground rules and regulations, and collection of fees from guests as required.
Education and Qualifications:
Qualifications will include Grade 12 diploma, valid Class G Ontario driver’s licence, and one (1) year of related experience.
The above positions are represented by the OPSEU Local 123 Collective Agreement.
STUDENT POSITIONS
Parks and Sportfields Students
Campground/Riverparks Students
Parks and Campground students work efficiently to bring an exceptional level of service to our parks and campgrounds while interacting positively with the public. Ideal candidates are safety conscious and always demonstrate safe work practices, follow instructions well, possess excellent teamwork skills and have the ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner. These positions perform a variety of general maintenance and clean-up duties to ensure our parks and campgrounds are enjoyed by the community and visitors. Candidates must hold a valid G2 driver’s licence with an acceptable drivers’ abstract.
Golf Course – Cart Attendants
Cart Attendants work efficiently performing the duties of cart loading, cart cleanliness, staging, and storing among other golf course related duties. Ideal candidates follow instructions well, possess excellent teamwork skills and have the ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner. Candidates must be prepared to work in summer weather conditions and hold a valid G2 driver’s licence with an acceptable drivers’ abstract.
Golf Course – Servers
Servers work efficiently to bring an exceptional level of service and dining experience for club house patrons. Ideal candidates follow instructions well, possess excellent teamwork skills and have the ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner. These positions are responsible for seating customers, taking food and drink orders, and delivering food to the customer along with other restaurant/club house related duties. You will work in a fast-paced environment and must be flexible in meeting the varying scheduling needs of the club house.
