Kennel Procedures

The maximum number of dogs you can own or care-for in the Township is (2) two. The only way to have or care-for more than (2) two dogs anywhere within the Township is by securing a kennel license.

In order to qualify for a Kennel License you must:

  • own property that is zoned for agricultural uses; 
  • be housing the animals in a humane capacity including heating and cooling capabilities; and 
  • be housing the animals in a shelter not closer than (200) two hundred metres from a building used for human habitation on an abutting lot.
