2026 Municipal Election

MUNICIPAL ELECTION 2026

There will be a Municipal Election across Ontario, and within the Township of St. Clair on October 26, 2026. For the first time in our history, the Township will be using the Vote-by-Internet voting method. Each registered voter will be mailed a Voter’s Information Kit which will contain your personal identification code which you will use to cast your ballot.

Because of the use of the Vote-by-Internet voting method, it is critically important that you confirm you are on the voter’s list, and that your mailing information is accurate.

In order to qualify as an eligible elector for the 2026 Township of St. Clair Municipal Election, you must:

  1. Reside in the Township; or own land; or be a tenant of land within the Township; or be the spouse of owner or tenant;
  2. Be a Canadian citizen;
  3. Be at least 18 years of age on Voting Day (October 26, 2026)
  4. Not be prohibited from voting by the Municipal Elections Act or other legislation.
